Kahramaa, the state-run electricity and water utility company in Qatar, has partnered with Microsoft and KPMG to launch a new artificial intelligence (AI) platform aimed at improving customer experience and enhancing efficiency. The platform utilizes cutting-edge technologies such as machine learning, data analytics, and natural language processing to provide personalized solutions and improve customer service. This is in line with Qatar’s National Artificial Intelligence Strategy, which seeks to position the country as a leading innovator in AI.

The AI platform is designed to handle customer queries and complaints more efficiently, reducing response times and enhancing customer satisfaction. It can also provide customers with real-time information on their energy and water usage, allowing them to monitor and manage their consumption online and via mobile devices, reducing the need for physical visits The platform is expected to lead to significant cost savings and operational efficiencies for Kahramaa.

The President of Kahramaa, Engineer Essa bin Hilal Al Kuwari, has noted that the AI platform is the first step towards the development of an integrated smart grid system capable of delivering sustainable and efficient energy and water services to customers. He has also stated that the platform will enable Kahramaa to provide world-class services to its customers and cement Qatar’s position as a leader in AI-driven smart infrastructure.
