The 2024 China Overseas Talents Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition Grand Finals and Awards Ceremony was recently held in Nanning, Guangxi. At this event, Singapore presented its innovative projects, showcasing visionary creativity.
The competition was organized by the China Association for Science and Technology and the People’s Government of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, among others, and highlighted advancements in life sciences, digital economy, and advanced manufacturing.
According to asiaone, a highlight of the competition was the recognition of three high-tech projects from the Singapore regional round, organized by TusStar, a leading innovation company. In recognition of its efforts, TusStar (Singapore) was awarded the prestigious title of “Global Partner” by the competition committee.
The competition, which aimed to attract high-tech entrepreneurial projects from around the world, was extremely competitive and featured groundbreaking innovations in various domains. Ten outstanding projects from Singapore made it to the grand finals, showcasing their pioneering ideas and potential impact. Among the successful projects were Zhiyuan Messenger, which focuses on AI self-replicating mRNA vaccines for rare diseases and diabetes, EyRIS, an AI-powered healthcare screening tool, and pQCee, offering quantum cybersecurity solutions.
After rigorous evaluation, “pQCee: Quantum Cybersecurity Solutions,” “NeoArt: Digital Art IP Incubator based on ‘AI+ Digital Copyright’ Technology,” and “5Dtech: 5-Axis Printing Module for Classic 3D Printers” emerged as the triumphant projects from Singapore, poised to make their mark on the international stage.
The event not only celebrated the achievements of the innovative finalists but also served as a platform for collaboration and networking. It brought together industry leaders, tech entrepreneurs, and policymakers, fostering valuable connections that are expected to drive further technological advancements and business opportunities.
Looking ahead, some of the winning projects will have the opportunity to participate in a one-week business study tour across major Chinese cities, where they will engage with investors and government officials to explore support for their ventures in China.
