South Korean actor Lee Sun-kyun who starred in the Academy Award-winning film “Parasite” has died at age 48 in what police believe to be suicide.

The actor was found in his car after his manager reported him missing in Seoul while being investigated for drug use.

Lee had been questioned three times since October by Incheon police in connection with the drug probe while all drug tests done during the investigation came back negative.

Lee is reported to have sued an alleged blackmailer accusing him of having tricked him into taking drugs. Before the lawsuit was filed, police had received a tip about his drug use and one man and a woman were arrested
