Liquid Intelligent Technologies, a prominent provider of custom digital solutions in Uganda, is on the brink of transforming the local business landscape with the introduction of the first Microsoft Azure Stack in the country. This strategic move, according to a report by The Oberver, will provide local enterprises with access to cloud services that adhere to Uganda’s data regulations, signalling a new era of technological progress.

The Microsoft Azure Stack is an advanced platform that integrates hardware and software to deliver cloud services within a local data centre, enabling organisations to establish hybrid clouds. CEO of Liquid Intelligent Technologies Uganda, Michael Mukasa, underscored the significance of the Azure Stack hub’s launch, emphasising its potential to revolutionise local businesses. It will offer cost-effective access to local cloud solutions, ensure compliance with data regulatory requirements, and enable the efficient operation of latency-sensitive business applications.

Mukasa emphasised the impact of this development, stating, “This marks the fifth deployment of Microsoft Azure Stack by Liquid Technologies in Africa. The Azure Stack will not only benefit large enterprises but also drive the adoption of cloud technology among Ugandan Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs). Our organisation is committed to empowering both current and potential clients with a highly secure cloud solution, reducing latency, and facilitating real-time business continuity through flexible adoption models.”

Notably, Liquid Intelligent Technologies’ partnership with Microsoft ensures the continuous delivery of the latest software and security updates, safeguarding the integrity and safety of customers’ data. This strategic collaboration further affirms the commitment to upholding the highest standards of security and data protection.

The official launch of the Azure Stack in Uganda is scheduled for August 15, marking a significant milestone in the country’s technological landscape. The platform will be available in three distinct packages, catering to varying speed requirements. Customers can choose from the silver package, offering speeds of up to 20Mbps at Shs 224,000, the gold package with speeds of up to 40Mbps at Shs 448,000, and the platinum package, delivering speeds of up to 60Mbps at Shs 672,000.

The introduction of the Microsoft Azure Stack in Uganda is poised to transform the way local businesses harness cloud technology, paving the way for enhanced efficiency, compliance, and security. As Liquid Intelligent Technologies continues to spearhead digital innovation in the region, the future looks promising for Uganda’s evolving tech ecosystem.
