LG has unveiled an amiable bot capable of completing various tasks while roaming your household. Its features include monitoring your pets while you’re away.

It is equipped with two legs and wheels, allowing it to move autonomously throughout a user’s home.

According to LG, the robotic device serves as a household manager and companion, utilizing its speaker and multiple sensors to collect live data on environmental conditions such as temperature, humidity, and indoor air quality. Additionally, the robot can communicate with other smart home gadgets and even perform independent surveillance of a residence when the owner is absent, notifying them of any open windows or lights that may have been left on. One aspect that may interest pet owners is its capability to enable remote monitoring and care of animals and send warnings if any unusual behavior is detected.

The robot’s companion feature involves welcoming users upon their arrival home. According to LG, it has the ability to detect emotions through voice and facial analysis and choose suitable music or content accordingly.

In addition, the robot is capable of carrying out tasks similar to those of a digital assistant, such as managing personal schedules and delivering reminders to individuals.

The AI agent utilizes Qualcomm’s Robotics RB5 Platform, a software and hardware package designed to support the development of smart, power-efficient, and cost-effective robots.

LG is promoting the AI agent as a solution for eliminating household tasks, in line with their “Zero Labor Home” vision.

There is currently no information available regarding the price of LG’s robot. However, Amazon’s Astro robot, which is similar in design, costs $1,450. Therefore, it is possible that LG’s bot will be priced similarly or even higher.
