Beyond their Free Transit Programme, Qatar Airways offers a discounted stopover programme for passengers wishing to spend one to four nights in Doha en route to their final destination. With a range of hotel options to suit different budgets, the programme offers a fantastic way to discover the vibrant city of Doha.

The discounted stopover programme provides passengers with reduced hotel rates based on the duration of their stay and their choice of accommodation. The prices listed below are per person and based on double occupancy:

  • One night: £11 in a standard hotel, £16 in a premium hotel, or £60 in a luxury hotel
  • Two nights: £17 in a standard hotel, £27 in a premium hotel, or £116 in a luxury hotel
  • Three nights: £37 in a standard hotel, £52 in a premium hotel, or £184 in a luxury hotel
  • Four nights: £57 in a standard hotel, £77 in a premium hotel, or £254 in a luxury hotel

The cost of a stopover depends on the star-rating of the hotel and the length of your stay. The prices provided are per person, assuming a double room occupancy. Please note that extra charges apply for the inclusion of breakfast.

To take advantage of this offer, booking needs to be done directly with Qatar Airways. During the booking process, select “Qatar Stopover” in the flight search panel and enter your origin and destination. You can then choose the duration of your stopover in Doha either on the departing or returning flight journey.

The hotel and hotel package can be chosen immediately at the booking moment for flights departing from the following countries: Australia, Austria, Belgium, Brazil, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, India, Indonesia, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malaysia, Malta, Mexico, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Philippines, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Thailand, the United Kingdom and Vietnam.

For flights departing from all other countries, you need to book your flight first and then visit Discover Qatar to book your hotel.

For transits in Doha lasting less than 24 hours, you will not have access to your checked-in luggage. To ensure you have everything needed for your stopover, remember to pack all necessary items in your carry-on bag.

Once travel has begun, no refunds are available for partially used tours or fully unutilised packages. The unused portion of any package or tour is non-refundable, and the cancellation of any service will result in 100% charges.

Keep in mind that hotel elite status perks typically do not apply when booking through this programme, and you will not earn points or elite nights. For instance, the Hyatt Regency Oryx Doha is a Category 1 World of Hyatt property, making it relatively inexpensive to book with points.
