This module is completely autonomous and has the ability to separate from the vehicle and fly, as demonstrated during the unmanned flight at Airshow China.
The Land Aircraft Carrier’s cutting-edge hybrid powertrain provides an amazing extended range when it’s on the ground. The car can drive up to 1,000 kilometres (about 621 miles) on a full charge and tank thanks to the Kunpeng Super Electric 800V platform, which also facilitates rapid charging. This enables it to serve as a charging base for the Air Module, which can carry two passengers, in addition to making it appropriate for lengthy trips.
Will It Really Take Off?
XPeng’s dedication goes beyond demos and prototypes. With a goal of producing 10,000 units a year by 2026, the business started building a manufacturing facility for its electric vertical takeoff and landing (eVTOL) crafts in October 2024.
