These jobs will probably not exist anymore by the year 2030

As technology advances, new skills are springing up. Tech experts who have studied the trends conclude that some human occupations, especially those that are routine or repetitive, may eventually be replaced by automation and artificial intelligence (AI).

But these developments also provide people more time to concentrate on higher-level jobs that call for creativity, emotional intelligence, and critical thought—areas where robots still fall short of human ability. Experts also suggest that upskilling is one of the best ways to stay employed.

There are varied views of professions which will stay and ones which are likely to no longer exist in the job market. Qonversations, however, gathered the ones that were prevalent in various reports.

Textiles

The textiles industry, in the past, used to be robust with many employees involved in the production processes. Although there welre some equipment to ease their work, you would usually see a hive of activity going on, with many personnel carrying out their responsibilities.

Today, majority of occupations in a textile mill these days are machine-friendly, thus the workforce is getting smaller. Some jobs require fewer personnel to complete. Experts say with time, fewer workers and more machines would be needed to complete these tasks.

Travel Agents

The emergence of booking websites for travellers seems to be a threat for travel agencies. Travel brokers may face extinction due to the decline of their jobs as people can now book tickets themselves, leading to the closure of physical locations.
Many travel agencies, after studying the new trend, are now focused on online customer service, with live representatives available to assist customers on Airbnb.

Bank Tellers

Several studies have said robots are taking the place of tellers in banking halls. Customers are also resorting to their smartphones to make transactions thanks to mobile or online banking. The coming years is also likely to see a reduction in branches.

Farming
Well, this may not entirely go extinct but it will only reduce the number of farmers who stand tirelessly in the scorching sun to work. Thanks to the advancement of science, indoor farming and lab-grown meats are gradually gaining momentum.

Cooks or Fast food chef
Although there may be an exception for this, the development of faster-processing technologies, fast-food cooks may become obsolete. Undoubtedly, this will lower operating expenses. For chefs, this is not good news. Then again, which employer would resist implementing the new technologies in order to reduce expenses?

Parking Lot Attendants
It’s possible that parking lot attendants will go extinct in the next years. An increasing number of businesses are choosing to offer automated garages using robotic parking systems.
This will eliminate the need to pay a person whose job it is to park cars in a garage. But it may also mean that people would have lower-paying employment because may not consider companies hiring them.

Machine Operator
Another career that may soon disappear due to automation is that of the industrial machine operator. High-efficiency industrial machine operators already exist, and these robots don’t need breaks to rest either.
These devices can now effectively learn about their environment, identify problems on their own, and respond appropriately and quickly thanks to artificial intelligence. This translates to lower salary positions as well as fewer jobs overall.

Delivery and taxi drivers
Another ambitious prediction but it’s been forecasted that by 2030, autonomous vehicles and drones will undoubtedly be the newest technological advancements. They’ve already started working, but not very much. Their line of work necessitates the use of cutting-edge technologies to manage certain logistics. In Europe for instance, Amazon is already evaluating the effectiveness of flying packages. Driverless automobiles would result in the loss of work for taxi drivers. Drones will replace things like traffic monitoring systems, dispatch riders, and the like. Without a question, these technologies are superior solutions.
