Another world record shattered in Ghana
Ever cooked a stew for more than 2 hours? That's nothing compared to this new world record by Ghanaian chef Failatu Abdul-Razak.

Ghanaian chef Failatu Abdul-Razak may have broken the world record by engaging in non-stop cooking for more than 227 hours. Wearing the national flag, Abdul-Razak wrapped up the marathon cooking session with an emotional salute in Tamale on Wednesday. Referring to it as a “national assignment,” she conveyed her unwavering commitment to Ghana, and cheers erupted from the crowd as she left the hotel kitchen.
Abdul-Razak’s team plans to submit evidence to Guinness World Records for official validation.
Responding on X, GWR said, “We look forward to reviewing her evidence!” The current record holder is Irishman Alan Fisher, with 119 hours and 57 minutes.
This follows a new record being smashed in Ghana, as Afua Asantewaa Aduonum continued to sing for almost 127 hours and broke the world record for a sing-a-thon.
