All roads and airspace will lead to Brussels, Belgium for Bad Seeds’ frontman, Nick Cave’s debut exhibition on his devil-themed ceramics. Yes, you read right! Despite his profession as a singer, Nick is an author and now, a sculptor.

The exhibition which is titled “The Devil – A Life (2020–22)” comprises 17 glossy porcelain statuettes that will be exhibited at the Xavier Hufkens Gallery in Brussels from April 5 to May 11, 2024.

According to a Euronews Culture report, Cave’s collection that projects the devil is based on “the idea of forgiveness, the idea that there is a moral virtue in beauty. It’s a kind of balancing of our sins.”

Apart from his writing prowess as the frontman for Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds, an Australian rock band, Nick Cave is also an author of books. The Australian has to his name books like  “Hope, Faith and Carnage”, “Stranger than Kindness”, “The Sick Bag Song” and “The Death of Bunny Munro”.

However, he was long known as an artist before his music career. Nick studied art at Melbourne’s Caulfield Institute of Technology before venturing into music. As the frontman for Bad Seeds which was formed in 1993, the band released “People Ain’t No Good”, “Mercy Seat”, and “Into My Arms” as hit tracks.

His life as a lyricist has been characterised by religion, obsession with death, love, and violence, thus, his upcoming projects hardly come as a surprise to his fans.
