Global leaders in artificial intelligence convene in Tanzania for a pivotal summit aimed at driving collaboration and innovation in the sector. The Global AI Summit 2024, organised by the Saudi Data & Artificial Intelligence Authority (SDAIA), is anticipated to be a landmark event in the AI calendar, featuring over 300 esteemed speakers from across the globe, representing more than 100 nations.
The summit, which took place in Dar es Salaam, is anchored on the theme: “Now, Next, Never”, which is designed to stimulate discussions on the immediate impacts, future potentials, and ethical imperatives related to artificial intelligence advancements.
The Saudi Arabian Ambassador to Tanzania, Mr Yahya bin Ahmed Okeish, mentioned that this initiative is part of Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030, focusing on economic diversification and encouraging international partnerships to harness the transformative capabilities of AI across various sectors.
