According to Ward, the winners were picked from 32 examined vehicles, including 13 ICE, 10 electrics, four hybrids, and four PHEVs. The scores are calculated using horsepower, torque, NVH (noise vibration harshness), observed efficiency, and innovative onboard technologies.
