Stormzy, Little Simz Dazzle in 2024 MOBO Nominee List
The nominee list for the UK’s biggest black music awards ceremony is out of the bag and my, oh, my, it is packed and weighted! The 26th edition of the MOBO Awards is going all out this season. The names on its nominee list is causing excitement among fans of the nominees.
British rapper Stormzy and the Mercury Prize winner, Little Simz are tipped to win big on the awards night. With four nominations each, Little Simz appears in the Best Female Act, Album of the Year for her surprise project “No Thank You”, Video of the Year, and Best Hip Hop Act categories, while Stormzy contends with other artistes to win the Best Male Act, Album of the Year for his heartfelt LP “This Is What I Mean”, Song of the Year, and Video of the Year Awards.
Other exceptional nominees include J Hus, Central Cee, PinkPantheress, and RAYE, each with three nominations, as well as recognition for Ayra Starr, Nia Archives, and Shygirl.
The 2024 MOBO Awards is expected to take place at the Utilita Arena Sheffield on February 7, 2024.
The over 18 categories to be awarded in February 2024 cover other nominations like Song of The Year, Album of The Year, Electronic/Dance Act, and Best Grime Act.
MOBO Awards is also set to introduce two new categories namely, MOBO Impact and MOBO Pioneer Award.
The MOBO Awards was established to recognise the incredible works of Black acts. Its first awards ceremony was hosted in 1996.
