To celebrate multiple motorsport events coming to Qatar in 2023, Qatar Airways invites motorsports enthusiasts to Lusail Boulevard on February 22 from 5pm where F1, MotoGP and more live demonstrations will be on show.

F1 and MotoGP races return to Qatar in 2023, with the Lusail International Circuit as their venues. The F1 Qatar Grand Prix, having had its inaugural visit to Qatar in 2021, returns from October 6-8, and the MotoGP Grand Prix of Qatar from November 17-19. The Geneva International Motor Show in October and the Federation Internationale de l’Automobile (FIA) World Endurance Championship will both be hosted in Qatar in 2024. These major motorsports events hosted in Qatar are reason enough for Qatar Airways to celebrate on Lusail Boulevard next week, February 22nd.

Entertainment for fans will be provided by special appearances from Qatari rally driver, Nasser Al Attiyah, and David Coulthard will be driving a Formula 1 Red Bull car, Dani Pedrosa will be sporting a MotoGP bike, and Abdo Feghali will drive a Red Bull drift car. The motor stars and their cars will be racing down the strip of Lusail Boulevard, and the FIA World Endurance Championship hypercar will be on display.

Free of charge, the event includes a live music performance from an internationally renowned artist, a firework display, and other performances. Attendees are invited to take the metro, or to park around the Lusail Boulevard.

Qatar Airways Group Chief Executive, H E Akbar Al Baker, said: “Following the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022, and now a growing motorsports presence, Qatar is quickly becoming a hub for global sporting events. Qatar Airways will continue to display the synergy between travel and sports, giving fans the ultimate travel experience to their favourite events, especially in Qatar.

We look forward to hosting a special evening of motorsport extravaganza at the world-class Lusail Boulevard, where fans can get close to the action and feel the thrills and excitement of different automobiles.”
