Internet sensation Jimmy Donaldson, known as MrBeast, has announced a groundbreaking new reality competition show in partnership with Amazon MGM Studios. The show, titled “Beast Games,” is set to be the largest reality competition series ever, featuring 1,000 contestants vying for a $5 million cash prize.

With over 389 million subscribers on YouTube and being the fourth most followed creator on TikTok, Donaldson is no stranger to large-scale productions. His videos often involve extensive crews, elaborate sets, and jaw-dropping cash prizes. From challenges like spending seven days in solitary confinement to attempting to destroy a Lamborghini with a train, Donaldson’s content is known for pushing the boundaries of what is possible on social media platforms.

In a recent interview on “The Colin and Samir Show” podcast, Donaldson revealed that each of his YouTube videos can cost between $4 million and $5 million to produce, with “Beast Games” boasting an even larger budget. The deal with Amazon is estimated to be around $100 million, according to news outlet Puck.

Describing the show as “our normal videos, but just 20 times better,” Donaldson emphasized that money would not be a constraint in the production of “Beast Games.” Working with a streaming service like Amazon Prime Video allows Donaldson to explore new creative avenues outside of the constraints of YouTube’s algorithms and values.

While “Beast Games” marks a new chapter in Donaldson’s career, it is part of a larger trend of creators expanding their content beyond social media platforms to diversify their revenue streams. Other creators, such as the YouTube group “Sidemen” and TikToker Charli D’Amelio’s family, have also ventured into producing content for streaming services like Netflix and Hulu.

“We’re reinventing everything,” Donaldson stated on the podcast. “This will probably be six-plus hours of content, where my normal videos are 20 minutes long. The character building, the storytelling, will be out of this world compared to our normal videos.”

With “Beast Games” set to redefine the boundaries of reality competition shows, fans can expect a spectacular viewing experience that combines the best elements of YouTube entertainment with the production values of traditional television. Stay tuned for more updates on this groundbreaking collaboration between MrBeast and Amazon MGM Studios.
