Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi has praised Elon Musk’s DOGE mission, linking it to his own vision for India. During a three-hour conversation with AI researcher, Lex Fridman, Modi covered topics ranging from Donald Trump’s resilience to his decade-long friendship with Musk. However, it was his enthusiasm for Dogecoin’s space-bound ambitions that caught attention.

Modi recalled his first visit to the White House, where Trump broke protocol to personally give him a tour. He praised Trump’s unwavering dedication to his country, particularly after last year’s assassination attempt. “Even after being shot, he remained focused on America. His life was for his nation,” Modi remarked.

He also shed light on his long-standing bond with Musk, reminiscing about their first meeting when he was Chief Minister. Modi described their recent meeting as warm and personal, as Musk was accompanied by his family. The conversation spanned various topics, but one stood out—DOGE.

Modi spoke highly of Musk’s DOGE mission, expressing genuine excitement about its progress. He even drew a comparison between Musk’s ambitious plans and his own mission to rid India of deep-rooted issues. “I wanted to free my country from harmful practices, and I will continue striving to eliminate as many of them as I can,” he said.

From political resilience to cryptocurrency in space, Modi’s podcast revealed his admiration for visionary leaders and disruptive innovation.
