The documentary chronicles the activities of Jho Low, an enigmatic tycoon and playboy, who orchestrates a plot to exploit Malaysia’s sovereign wealth fund, 1Malaysia Development Berhad.
With the assistance of Prime Minister Najib Razak, Low channels billions of dollars into offshore bank accounts to sustain his opulent lifestyle, and even fund the production of ‘The Wolf of Wall Street.’ Director Cassius Michael Kim’s exhaustive inquiry uncovers a complex tapestry of avarice, laying bare the profound repercussions of this monumental financial scandal.
The most sensational element, however, and the one that will pique the interest of a broader audience less inclined towards financial misconduct, is the depiction of Jho Low’s extravagant partying escapades with renowned celebrities, such as Leonardo DiCaprio, Paris Hilton, Jamie Foxx, Miranda Kerr, and numerous others – several of whom, as it emerges, were compensated for their appearances.

Jho Low, real name Low Taek Jho, is a Malaysian fugitive entrepreneur. He is currently wanted by international authorities in connection with 1MDB scandal. Low is alleged to be the mastermind behind this extensive fraudulent scheme, which prosecutors claim aimed to divert a staggering sum of US$4.5 billion from 1MDB into his personal accounts. Additionally, he is identified as the recipient of various discretionary trust assets that the U.S. government asserts originated from payments linked to the Malaysian 1MDB fund.
Low has consistently asserted his innocence and argues that Malaysian authorities are pursuing a campaign of harassment and political persecution against him due to his past support of former Prime Minister Najib Razak. It’s worth noting that Najib Razak’s involvement in the 1MDB scandal led to his conviction on seven counts, including abuse of power, money laundering, and criminal breach of trust.
Low is believed to be hiding in Macau.
