Well-known jewels of Indonesian spices are nutmeg, cloves and peppers, but various lesser-known gems contribute to its rich culinary tapestry, such as galangal and pandan.

Indonesian spices have a unique and versatile flavour profile that can be used in various cuisines worldwide. Here are some examples of the unusual usage of Indonesian spices in international dishes:

In the United States, the Indonesian Spiced BBQ Ribs. The fusion of American barbecue and Indonesian flavours creates a mouthwatering dish combining smokiness with sweet and spicy notes.
